Overview
This project involved the complete technical and financial design of a 100MW utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducted detailed solar resource assessment using SolarGIS and Meteonorm data
- Optimized module selection and array layout using PVsyst simulation
- Performed shadow analysis and energy yield prediction
- Developed financial models for project finance and LCOE calculation
Results
- Energy Yield: 215 GWh/year
- LCOE: ₹2.85/kWh (12% below industry average)
- Project Finance: Secured at 70:30 debt-equity ratio
Technical Details
The plant uses monocrystalline PERC modules with single-axis trackers to maximize energy capture. The inverter solution employs central inverters with a DC/AC ratio of 1.35.
